Although this is not hosted by St Michael's Lodge, it is the only social function held on behalf of St Michael's Royal Arch Chapter, many of which are also members of the lodge.

It is held at the Masonic Hall in Sittingbourne on a Saturday closest to Burns Night itself and is very popular for the food and entertainment, usually with a Scottish theme.

Please check back here for updates on when this will take place in 2011

Once a year the Master of the Lodge holds a Ladies Festival, which is a formal (Dinner Suit and Ball Gowns) Dinner and dance held at a location of the Master and his Lady's choice.

In past years some Masters have chosen to make it a whole weekend occasion by finding a venue distant from Sittingbourne and staying two nights at a hotel.

Recently the Masters have opted for a local occasion at at venue nearby.

The next Ladies Festival will be announced in the near future

This is not a sales promotion and no wine is offered for sale - it's just a fun evening trying to guess the type and origins of several wines!! Hic! Hic!

This takes place on Saturday May 22nd at Albany Road 7:30pm start Tickets cost £10 including cheese and biscuits

Come and be a Jockey or an owner at our popular Horse Race Night.

Each race is run using hobby horses ridden by eager amateurs from the audience. It works like this; we have two sets of snooker balls in bags, one set numbered 1 to 6 and another containing coloured balls corresponding to a hobby horse. When it's coloured ball is drawn it advances by the number of paces on the numbered ball, both of which are drawn by random.

In each race bids are taken for those to 'buy' the horse. The succesful owner of the winning race gets a cash prize. There is also a tote taking 20p bets.

We run eight races with all the winners and of those take part in the final race of the evening, with the winning rider getting a prize

This can lead to an exciting and hilarious outcomes, with a good time had by all.

This takes place once a year on a Sunday in June or July starting around 12 noon. The venue is usually the garden of the Sittingbourne centre (weather permitting) and winds up around 5pm(ish).

The cost per person is modest, payable on the day. Activities and entertainment are usually organised for the day with the centre bar being open and of course the customary raffle draw. The food consists of hand made Sausages and beefburgers, made by our own in-house butcher, (non of the supermarket bought meat here!) plus salads and homemade deserts.

Our next BBQ will be the Summer of 2010, check back here for more details nearer the time.

This is another popular evening, with many members and guests coming along.

This years quiz will take on a new feel. Previously teams would have to listen to the question and then write the answer on a sheet, which would be collected and marked. In 2009 we we lent a set of Qwizdom handsets which seemed to go down well with those present. The format for 2010 may be the same as 2009 or it may be on similar lines as before. This will be announced nearer the date

The cost is per person and the teams can consist of between 6 to 8 people and is to be held at the Masonic Hall on a date to be announced, but expect the Quiz night to be sometime in November 2010.

This is a new event in 2009 which may be repeated again in 2010.

The treasure Hunt sets off from the Masonic Hall Albany Road Sittingbourne and in 2009 was on a Sunday in Decemeber, which may be again in 2010. Teams set off at intervals and participants are reminded that it is not a race!

Please check back for further announcemnts if this happens again in 2010

Every Year Sittingbourne Masonic House committe holds an annual Christmas prize draw to raise funds to both keep the building in good shape and for local charities. The draw is always held at the centre in Albany Road Sittingbourne with entertainment and food.
